Last May, the time had finally come: Kurt and Rita were photographed in a very special way. This method of photography, which is over a hundred years old, captures "invisible" light. The images are photographed directly onto black glass plates, which are made photosensitive using collodion and silver. To create a portrait, the model has to sit still for what feels like an eternity. The slightest movement can change the focus and render the picture unusable.
useless. As a result, every fake smile disappears.
This is probably why the portraits show "the soul of the person", as Kurt Moser likes to describe it.
In an age of smartphone photos, the photographs by Kurt Moser and Barbara Holzknecht are truly unique and at the same time works of art for eternity.
