Our farm now consists of a barn, which houses 20 head of cattle, including 10 dairy cows, and a storage area for freshly mown hay. As a result, we can serve our guests fresh milk every day, home-made butter and beef from our own farm. A difference you can taste!

It all started in 1959 with a simple Alpine chalet 1,900 m above sea level. In the summer months, the Malfertheiner Family moved from the original Ritsch farm in the valley (San Michele in Castelrotto) up to the high plateau to manage the Alpine pastures. After some time, Anton Malfertheiner and his wife Johanna decided to spend all year on the Alpe di Suisi. Their vision of running a small restaurant beside the farm was initially ridiculed by many. Had it not been for their ambition, the farm and the hotel as we know it today would not exist. They were the ones who laid the foundations for the whole thing.
