In September 2012 several scenes for the successful Donna Leon TV series concerning Commissario Brunetti were shot on Alpe di Siusi and here with us at the Hotel Ritsch.
As part of this the book, A Question of Belief by the writer, Donna Leon was filmed. This novel has been high in the German best seller lists for several weeks.
To summarise the plot of the 19th novel:
Commissario Brunetti and his family are enjoying their holiday at Alpe di Siusi. But his holiday is cut short. Another murder has been committed in Venice, he has to return, but his family stays here...
The Teamworx production company were so taken with the location, in particular with the traditional style and the cosy atmosphere of our house, that our Hotel Ritsch became the film location.
Brunetti's 19th case, A Question of Belief celebrated its major TV premiere on ARD on 11th May 2013.
With more than six million viewers, the First German television channel surpassed average viewing figures by a huge margin.
Let's hope we don't have to wait too long for the Brunetti family to come to the Hotel Ritsch on holidays again.
