Find your perfect route
The Hartl trail is always a special experience. Like most trails, it starts directly from Hotel Ritsch. The first few kilometres, like the Möser (5.5 km) and Wolfsbühl (8.8 km) wind across the meadows of the protected Großes Moos biotope. After gentle ascents, the route descends through forests, and with a little luck, you may encounter a deer or red deer among the spruces and Swiss pines. Several viewpoints (toward Sciliar, Sassolungo, and Sasso Piatto) invite a break - these are the moments that create the most lasting memories.
From the Ritsch the Panorama (11.3 km) and Joch (15.4 km) trails also begin - the longest on the plateau. The steep climb at the start is soon rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. After reaching the Bamby chairlift, you will have gained considerable altitude, and from there it’s a gentler, steady ascent. Hotel Goldknopf sits at the highest point of the trail, from where thrilling descents through stunning winter scenery await.
It is not just because it bears our name, that this trail holds a special place in our hearts. The 1.4 km Ritsch trail runs entirely across our property, ideal for everyone cross-country skiing in the Dolomites. Beginners and children can try their first steps on cross-country skis here, while experienced skiers find it perfect for warming up or recovery. Mostly shaded, it’s the first trail groomed each winter and offers a fantastic view of the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto massif.
Until winter 2011, the Ritsch was groomed with our own snowcat by Manuel Malfertheiner. It was officially added to the Alpe di Siusi trail map only in 2012.
